In February, our thoughts usually turn to love and how to improve on our relationships. Relationships are difficult, especially for men. I heard about a man whose wife said she wanted to go somewhere for Valentine’s Day she had never been before. He took her to the kitchen!

Of course, men can always find a guy worse than they are. One man forgot Valentine’s Day and his wife got really angry. She told him that the next morning she had better find a gift in the driveway that goes from zero to 150 in under six seconds. The next morning there was a big gift-wrapped box in the driveway. She ran outside, opened her package and inside found a new bathroom scale.

In fairness to the ladies, I have to tell you about the missing husband. A man went missing and frantically his wife called her neighbor and asked what she should do. After finding out he had been missing for several hours, the neighbor advised her to make a police report.

The two of them went to the police station and the woman began filling out a missing person’s report. She described her husband as tall with a slim waist and broad shoulders. He was sharply dressed with thick curly hair. He was soft-spoken and a wonderful father. The wife’s neighbor was horrified. “That’s not your husband! He’s short, overweight, dresses sloppily, is foul-mouthed, and can’t stand kids,” she said. The wife looked at her friend and sighed, “I know, but who wants him back?”

Men and ladies, relationships take a lot of hard work. Use Paul’s advice in 1 Corinthians 13 and your relationship will be good and godly!
